Job summary

Lactalis Australia is seeking an experienced HR Manager to partner with site leaders across Harvey Fresh and Forrestdale to drive business performance and foster a high-engagement culture.

Reporting to the Site Manager and with a dotted line to the Head of HR - Industrial, you will deliver high-impact HR and IR solutions across the employee lifecycle, lead strategic HR initiatives and manage industrial negotiations.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Manager or Senior HRBP.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, awards and enterprise agreements.
• Proven ability to manage complex ER and IR matters.
• Excellent stakeholder management, coaching and negotiation skills.
• Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR processes and initiatives across Harvey Fresh and Forrestdale sites.
• First point of contact for HR, ER and IR matters.
• Coach leaders on performance management and employee relations.
• Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations and union engagement.
• Liaise with Fair Work and external stakeholders on industrial matters.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, talent and succession planning.
• Plan and track training needs with Learning & Development.
• Develop and implement communication and engagement improvement initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team, partnering with leaders and employees across our Harvey Fresh and Forrestdale sites to drive business performance and foster a high-engagement culture.

Reporting to the Site Manager, with a dotted line to the Head of HR - Industrial, you will partner with leaders and employees to deliver high impact HR and IR solutions that drive business performance and foster a culture aligned to Lactalis values.

This is a true business partnering role, providing expert advice and support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle while leading strategic HR initiatives, employee relations matters and industrial negotiations. You will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, managers and employees, helping build leadership capability and create a positive and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all HR processes and initiatives across the Harvey Fresh and Forrestdale sites.
• Act as the first point of contact for HR, ER and IR matters.
• Coach and support leaders on performance management and employee relations.
• Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations and union engagement.
• Liaise with Fair Work and other external stakeholders on industrial matters.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, talent and succession planning activities.
• Engage with Learning & Development to plan, budget and track training needs for the site
• Proactively develop and implement communication, cultural and employee engagement improvement initiatives.

About You

You are a hands-on HR professional with strong ER and IR expertise who enjoys partnering with operational leaders and influencing positive people outcomes. You will bring:

• Experience in a HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner role.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex ER and IR matters.
• Excellent stakeholder management, coaching and negotiation skills.
• The ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
