Job summary

Kaiser Reef Limited is seeking an Environment & Compliance Manager for the Maldon Gold Project in Victoria. You will own all non-safety environmental compliance obligations, manage regulator relationships, and oversee offsets for our Victorian tenements, ensuring alignment with Duty Based requirements.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in environmental compliance, strong data discipline, and credentials such as Exemplar Global Lead Environmental Auditor and ICAM Lead Investigator.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in environmental compliance.
• 3+ years in a senior capacity within mining or heavily regulated sector.
• Strong knowledge of Victorian frameworks (MRSD Act, EP Act, Water Act).
• Experience with regulator relationships, offsets and data management.

Responsibilities

• Own all non-safety environmental compliance obligations for Maldon and Victorian tenements.
• Manage approvals, offsets, and regulator relationships.
• Lead transition to the new Resources Victoria Duty Based model.

The Maldon Gold Project in Victoria’s historic Golden Triangle provides strategic growth optionality, with a fully permitted 200ktpa CIL processing facility, existing underground access, and high-grade exploration potential.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an autonomous, delivery-focused professional to take full ownership of our environmental performance and regulatory landscape.

As the Environment & Compliance Manager, you will hold front-line responsibility for every non-safety compliance obligation attaching to the Maldon Gold Project and our Victorian exploration tenements.

You will own the regulatory landscape mapping authorities, maintaining approvals, securing offsets, and managing day-to-day regulator relationships. This will include accountability for the transition to the new Resources Victoria Duty Based model.

While health & safety and community engagement remain separate functions, you will work together with our Community Coordinator and People and Safety Coordinator to present a single, consistent interface to the external community and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical and commercial judgment with expertise in Victorian regulatory frameworks, licencing obligations, and environmental data management systems whilst maintaining credible, calm, and confident relationships with regulators, community groups, and local stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental science, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

8+ years in environmental compliance, including 3+ years in a senior capacity within mining or a heavily regulated resource sector.

Deep working knowledge of Victorian frameworks (MRSD Act, EP Act, Water Act).

Strong commercial judgment and high data discipline

Experience with underground mining, TSFs, CHMPs, and Victorian regulators (Resources Victoria, EPA, DEECA).

Postgrad qualification in environmental law, regulation, planning, or management.

Exemplar Global Lead Environmental Auditor certification.

ICAM Lead Investigator certification

Eligibility for or membership of EIANZ.
