Job summary

BNK Bank seeks an experienced Head of Enterprise & Operational Risk to design, implement and enhance BNK’s risk framework. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you will lead second-line risk activities, strengthen risk taxonomy and resilience, and provide independent challenge to the first line while supporting growth and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee a small team, ensure alignment with APRA CPS 220/230, and drive risk reporting to Boards and regulators, shaping BNK's risk maturation

Qualifications

• Extensive banking or financial services risk management experience.
• 15+ years in enterprise/operational/non-financial risk or related second-line functions.
• Experience designing and implementing risk frameworks and taxonomies.
• Strong knowledge of APRA standards CPS 220, CPS 230 and CPS 234.
• Proven ability to establish and oversee resilience, continuity and control programs.
• Experience preparing Board, Committee and regulator-facing risk reporting.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and manage stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset balancing governance with commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve BNK's Enterprise and Operational Risk Framework aligned with APRA standards and BNK's strategy.
• Provide expert second-line oversight across the organisation.
• Identify emerging, concentration and interconnected risks across multiple risk categories.
• Lead redevelopment and maintenance of BNK's enterprise risk taxonomy.
• Oversee identification of critical services, impact tolerances and disruption scenarios.
• Design and operate second-line controls testing and assurance programs.
• Evaluate effectiveness of controls and challenge first-line practices.
• Provide independent assurance reporting to the CRO, Board committees and Internal Audit.
• Lead development and embedment of the Bank's Three Lines of Defence model.
