Job summary

RMIT University is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide architecture leadership across core platforms at the Melbourne CBD campus in a hybrid role. You will define target-state architectures, roadmaps and reference architectures, guiding solution design and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

You will work with senior stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure scalable, secure enterprise services and governance across Finance, HR, and related functions.

Qualifications

• Over five years' experience as an Enterprise Architect in large, complex organisations with a strong track record in solution architecture and enterprise-scale technology delivery.
• Capable of conveying new ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Good understanding of digital asset management, knowledge/document/records management, CRM, ERP, LMS, Commerce and their value to the enterprise.
• Exposure to governance, risk and compliance and an understanding of regulatory obligations.
• Highly collaborative and able to work with senior business executives and provide professional feedback.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-level architectural leadership across core operational platforms supporting Finance, People, Property Services, Governance, Risk & Compliance, and research enablement.
• Define target-state architectures, roadmaps, standards, and reference architectures to enable scalable, secure, and future-ready enterprise services.
• Develop, maintain and govern the university's architectural framework, including Reference Architectures, Blueprints, Roadmaps, and Technology Strategies; support Solution Architects with platform- and solution-level guidance.
• Ensure stakeholder engagement so architecture aligns with future requirements and RMIT's strategic goals.
