Job summary

Harper in Sydney is seeking a seasoned software engineer to partner directly with enterprise teams: learn workflows, design AI solutions, and build production-grade agents integrated with customer systems.

You will run workshops, write robust integrations, manage deployments with reliability and performance, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve shared tools and documentation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering with production systems.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Platform integration experience: APIs, cloud infrastructure, data flows.
• Strong technical problem-solving and comfort with customer-facing ambiguity.
• Nice to have: experience with AI agents or automation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to identify operational problems worth solving.
• Turn complex problems into technical designs and implement them.
• Deliver the platform on the customer’s side and guide best practices.
• Build AI agents integrated with customer systems and APIs.
• Run workshops with client teams.
• Write production-grade code for integrations and workflows.
• Manage deployments with reliability and performance.
• Test against real data and iterate quickly.
• Collaborate with internal Product and Engineering teams to improve tools and documentation.
