Job summary

Apply is seeking a Senior Engineer - AI Builder in Operational Tools & Workflows to design and ship internal tools that reduce toil across our Product & Technology organisation. You will build scalable software using AI techniques and mentor peers.

You will join a Global Product & Technology Operations team and collaborate with leaders to turn operational challenges into elegant technical solutions. The role offers hybrid work between remote days and in-office collaboration in AU/NZ.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with Python and TypeScript.
• Hands-on AI tools, coding agents, and low-code frameworks.
• Experience evaluating build vs buy and extending SaaS platforms.
• Experience API integrations and data warehouses.
• Customer-focused mindset treating internal users as customers.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering internal tools for status reporting, headcount management, and automated roadmapping.
• Applying AI-first engineering to automate complex manual workflows.
• Integrating Jira, Confluence, Workday, and data warehouses via APIs.
