Job summary

Sandfire Resources Limited in Western Australia seeks an experienced AI Program Manager to lead an enterprise-wide AI initiative on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will partner with senior leaders to translate strategic priorities into governed, scalable AI-enabled business outcomes.

Working with Legal, People, Technology and external partners, you will oversee the design, delivery and adoption of AI initiatives, including generative AI, automation and analytics, ensuring governance, ethics

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or related field and experience in AI, data or digital initiatives.
• 8+ years in program management delivering AI or digital initiatives from concept to production.
• 10+ years in mining/resources sector including operational environments.
• Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI, ML and Data analytics.
• Experience managing enterprise-wide technology programs.
• Familiarity with AI governance, risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Able to communicate complex technical matters to senior and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data governance, cybersecurity and privacy considerations.
• Experience with Agile delivery and external vendors/partners.

Responsibilities

• Govern AI program strategy with executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of AI programs coordinating legal, people, tech and business teams.
• Establish AI governance framework and participate in audits.
• Ensure Responsible AI and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reporting for executive and board on progress, benefits, risks and adoption.
• Lead change management, training and adoption for AI initiatives.
