Job summary

UnitingCare Buderim Private Hospital on the Sunshine Coast is recruiting an Enrolled Nurse for casual pool shifts at Buderim Private Hospital. You will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, delivering person-centred care and participating in a 24/7 roster with flexible arrangements to support patients and families.

Eligible applicants must hold a Diploma of Nursing and AHPRA registration, have Full Australian Working Rights, and be willing to complete vaccinations and background

Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing and AHPRA registration are mandatory.
• Minimum 12 months post-graduate experience in Critical Care/ICU, Rehabilitation, Acute Medical or Surgical.
• Full Australian Working Rights (sponsorship not available).
• Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating roster and adhere to WHS practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional person-centred care by working with a multidisciplinary team and strong communication.
• Apply sound clinical practice to ensure a safe environment and promote patient health.
• Effectively communicate patient responses to treatment to the Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrate risk management within clinical and workplace settings.
• Coordinate care with other health professionals to achieve optimum patient outcomes.

Your part in our Buderim Hospital team

As part of our Casual Pool, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to deliver safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. In addition to this you will:

• Deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Apply sound clinical practice which ensures a safe environment and promotes optimal patient health
• Effectively exchange information with the Registered Nurse regarding patient responses to treatment and nursing care
• Demonstrate application of the principles of clinical and workplace risk management
• Achieve optimum patient care through effective collaboration with other health professionals and coordination of care

What makes a difference for us?

• Diploma of Nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration, with a minimum of 12 months past-graduate experience within either Critical Care/Intensive Care, Rehabilitation, Acute Medical or Surgical
• Full Australian Working Rights (please note, we are unable to provide sponsorship at this time)
• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
• A commitment to patient safety and quality improvements and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
