Job summary

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District in NSW is seeking motivated Enrolled Nurses to join Blue Mountains Hospital, Katoomba, on a casual basis. You will provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and contribute to a supportive multidisciplinary team in a busy acute setting.

Key requirements include current AHPRA enrolment as an EN Division 2, acute nursing experience, and strong communication skills.

Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care to patients and their families. You will support the delivery of evidence-based nursing care, ensuring patients receive respectful and responsive services that meet their individual needs.

Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. You will actively consult with Registered Nurses to ensure delegated responsibilities are appropriate to your level of competence and are undertaken in accordance with professional standards, NBMLHD policies and procedures, and legislative requirements, particularly in relation to medication administration.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to patient safety and quality care, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
