Job summary

Better Medical is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse (Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse) to join our team at SmartClinics Deception Bay on a casual basis, with flexibility to cover shifts and to work across our North Brisbane clinics.

Join a multi-disciplinary team and bring your nursing skills to immunisations, wound care, patient records, and recall management while maintaining compliance and quality standards across our clinics.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse is essential.
• Ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Willing to work across our North Brisbane clinics.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties with the required level of clinical competency, seeking guidance from Senior Practice Nurses when required.
• Provide support, reassurance, and health literacy to patients, utilising appropriate referral pathways such as Allied Health providers.
• Participate in practice risk management and quality improvement processes.
• Assist doctors with clinical procedures and examinations as a chaperon when required/requested.
• Ensure clinical documentation is maintained according to Better Medical requirements.
• Assist with storage and handling of Schedule 4 and Schedule 8 medications.
• Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly checks are carried out to maintain compliance.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of accreditation standards daily.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse (Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse) to join our team! This role will join our multi-disciplinary team based at SmartClinics Deception Bay on a Casual basis. The ideal candidate will be open to working varied hours with flexibility to cover shifts and have a willingness to work between our North Brisbane clinics.

About the role

Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a caring nature, high level communication skills and attention to detail. Your experience in health care will enable you to perform a range of clinical duties including; immunisations, wound care management, maintaining patient records, and effectively managing the recall process. Experience in General Practice will be viewed favourably.

Clinical Duties

Perform clinical duties with the required level of clinical competency, seeking guidance and supportfrom Senior Practice Nurses when required

Assist with implementation and maintain accreditation standards to ensure the practice is compliantwith accreditation standards daily

About You

Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse is essential

Have the ability to work independently, but also be a reliable team player.

Strong organisational and time management skills
