Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District in Armidale Hospital is seeking a dedicated Enrolled Nurse to join the Surgical Ward. You will provide person-centred care across general surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology and medicine, supporting patient recovery and education.

A supportive multidisciplinary team will develop your nursing skills, with orientation and ongoing education. NSW Health offers salary packaging options and generous leave provisions for eligible staff.

About The Role

As an Enrolled Nurse, you’ll play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality care to patients throughout their admission and recovery.

About You

You’re a passionate Enrolled Nurse who is committed to safe, respectful and person-centred care and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.


You’ll Bring

  • Current Enrolled Nurse AHPRA registration.

  • Ability to prioritise care and respond to changing patient needs.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to manage challenging situations.

Acute or surgical nursing experience is desirable but not essential. Enrolled Nurses who are motivated to learn, grow and develop their clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
