Job summary

West End Support Services in Ballarat seeks an enrolled nurse who is also a disability support worker to deliver hands-on care and clinical tasks within SIL and SDA settings.

The role blends daily living support with nursing duties, including medications, injections, health monitoring, and precise documentation, with a collaborative care team in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as Enrolled Nurse is required.

• Ability to work rotating rosters with weekend shifts (7am–2pm).

Enrolled (AHPRA registered) Nurse/Disability Support Worker

West End Support Services has proudly supported the Ballarat community since 2017, delivering personalised, high-quality supports that promote dignity, independence, and inclusion.

We are currently seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker who is also an AHPRA registered Enrolled Nurse (EN/EEN) to support participants with more complex health and clinical needs within our SIL and SDA services.

About the Role

This is a dual-role position combining hands‑on disability support with clinical responsibilities. You will play a key role in supporting participants to live independently while ensuring safe and effective clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Supporting participants with daily living and independent living skills
• Assisting with personal care (showering, dressing, toileting)
• Administering medications in line with care plans and legislative requirements
• Performing clinical tasks, including injections and or other delegated nursing supports
• Monitoring participant health and reporting changes or concerns
• Mealtime support and documentation
• Maintaining accurate and compliant progress notes

About You

We are looking for a confident and capable professional who can balance clinical duties with person‑centred support.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
• Experience in disability, aged care, or community care settings
• Demonstrated experience administering medications and injections
• A genuine passion for supporting people with disability
• Strong clinical judgement and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• The ability to work independently and within a team
• The ability to work across a rotating roster with alternate weekends (all shifts will be predominately 7am to 2pm)
• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current Driver's License
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
