Job summary

Employment Hero is seeking an on-site, part-time registered nurse to oversee and deliver clinical care within Supported Independent Living (SIL) and SDA settings. You will collaborate with disability support teams to ensure safe, person-centred care and timely documentation.

The role focuses on high-quality nursing across complex needs, compliance with NDIS and AHPRA standards, and leadership in a growing organisation. Part-time, with flexible shifts and hands-on clinical duties.

Qualifications

  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in disability, SIL/SDA, community, or aged care settings (highly regarded)
  • Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
  • Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and high-intensity support requirements
  • Experience supporting participants with complex health needs (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly organised with strong attention to clinical documentation and compliance
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC (if required), Police Check, First Aid & CPR

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to a participant living with Stoma, Catheter, Dementia, Parkinsons within a Supported Disability Accommodation (SDA) environment
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and contribute to the development and ongoing review of individualised care plans specific to spinal cord injury management
  • Provide and oversee complex care supports including bowel care, stoma care, catheter care (SPC) and infection prevention
  • Administer and monitor medications in accordance with scope of practice and regulatory requirements
  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to disability support workers
  • Support the participant to maintain independence, dignity and active community engagement
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and health monitoring records
  • Ensure compliance with AHPRA standards, NDIS Practice Standards, and high-intensity support requirements
  • Implement infection control, policies, procedures and risk mitigation strategies
  • Respond effectively to medical emergencies and elevate clinical concerns appropriately

About the Role


Reporting to the Regional SIL Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and delivering clinical care to participants within our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services. This is a hands-on clinical role suited to a nurse who enjoys working collaboratively with disability support teams while ensuring safe, compliant, and person-centred care.


This is a Part-Time position offering flexible shifts based on operational needs.


Key Responsibilities
