Job summary

City of Whittlesea invites applications for an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse PD. You will join a large municipality delivering high‑quality MCH services to families and young children. Responsibilities

  • Deliver the targeted but flexible Enhanced Maternal and Child Health program within established guidelines for families experiencing vulnerabilities and early parenting challenges.
  • Provide high quality, evidence-based practice focusing on strengthening parenting capacity, improving family functioning and empowering families.
  • Assess, monitor and promote physical, emotional and cognitive development of children aged 0-3 years.
  • Develop partnerships with families to identify focus, set goals and implement action plans for improved outcomes.

The part you will play

As part of the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health team you will work closely with the internal stakeholders/Community. Working on: Delivering the targeted but flexible Enhanced Maternal and Child Health program within the established guidelines, to families experiencing vulnerabilities and early parenting challenges. Providing high quality, evidence-based practice with a focus on strengthening parenting capacity, improving family functioning and empowering families to make optimal decisions related to their children’s health and development. Assessing, monitoring and promoting the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 0-3 years. Developing partnership with families to find a focus, set goals and implement action plans for improved outcomes
