City of Whittlesea is looking for an Early Childhood Professional PD to join the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health team in Australia. This full-time, permanent role supports families through community-based maternal and child health services, with a focus on early intervention and partnership-based practice.
The role offers a band 5 remuneration package of $84,966 plus super and flexible working arrangements, and a commitment to staff wellbeing and development. Closing date 18 October 2026.

As part of the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health team you will work closely with the internal stakeholders/Community.
Working on: Delivering the targeted but flexible Enhanced Maternal and Child Health program within the established guidelines, to families experiencing vulnerabilities and early parenting challenges.
Supporting the Enhanced MCH Nurses and allied staff to deliver high quality, evidence-based practice with a focus on strengthening parenting capacity, improving family functioning and empowering families to make optimal decisions related to their children’s health and development.
Work in collaboration with EMCH nurses and allied health staff to support families to achieve goals related to parenting and family wellbeing.
Group facilitation with internal and external partners.

Have a strong commitment to family-centred, strengths-based and solution-focused practice, with an understanding of the complexities that can impact young children and their families.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of early childhood development and the ability to support positive parent-child interactions, responsive caregiving, and developmental outcomes in the early years.
Possess excellent organisational and time management skills, enabling you to effectively manage competing priorities, maintain high-quality documentation, and meet required timeframes.
Are skilled at building trusting relationships with children, families and professionals, and can work collaboratively to identify goals, enhance family capacity, and facilitate access to appropriate supports and services.
Have an understanding of the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Program and are committed to contributing to its objectives of improving outcomes for children and families through early intervention and partnership-based practice.
