Job summary

William Clarke College in Kellyville, NSW, seeks an experienced English Teacher to join our academic staff. Reporting to the Head of English, you will deliver quality lessons across Stages 4–6 English and contribute to our teaching and learning frameworks.

The role is permanent and full-time, commencing Term 1, 2027. You will be part of a Christ-centred community that values professional development, collaboration, and innovative learning experiences within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation.
• Experience teaching Stage 4–6 English is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated excellence as a classroom teacher.
• Collegiate and a good team player.
• Actively support the College’s Christian ethos.
• Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check as required by law.
• Must be a regular practicing member of a Christian church.

Responsibilities

• Deliver English teaching to Students in Stages 4-6.
• Engage with students to deliver quality lessons aligned with the College frameworks.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment within the English department.
• Collaborate with Head of English and broader teaching staff to support student growth.

About the Opportunity

William Clarke College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced English Teacher to join our friendly and professional academic staff team. Reporting to the Head of English, you will be responsible for engaging with students to deliver quality teaching and learning experiences that speak to the core values of the College. In addition, you will actively engage with and deliver the College’s teaching and learning frameworks.

This is a permanent, full-time position commencing in Term 1, 2027

About You

• Ability to teach Stage 4, 5 and 6 English (experience at Stage 6 level will be highly regarded)
• Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation
• Demonstrated excellence as a classroom teacher
• Collegiate and a good team player
• Actively support the College’s Christian ethos
• The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
• Regular practicing member of a Christian church
