Job summary

Intrax Consulting Engineers is seeking a seasoned Building Services leader to guide a multidisciplinary team across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire and ESD on high-profile projects in NSW.

You will own delivery quality, drive utilisation and commercial performance while developing strong client relationships with developers, architects and builders. Lead growth by turning technical strength into value, and mentor engineers to build depth and capability.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in building services or MEP consultancy, ideally in the Australian built environment.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams with a trust-building, accountable style.
• Strong commercial development ability with a track record of winning and delivering work.
• Professional registration and ongoing development (CPEng or working towards).

• Set priorities and workload across the disciplines and keep delivery on track.
• Review technical output and make sure it meets Intrax quality and compliance standards.
• Meet with clients, scope new work and support fee proposals.
• Support engineers through problem solving, design decisions and career conversations.
• Keep a clear line of sight on project financials, resourcing and risk.

You may

• Come from a consultancy, client-side or contractor background in building services or MEP.
• Have led a single discipline and be ready to step up across a full integrated team.
• Bring deep expertise in one discipline and strong commercial instincts across the rest.

What you bring

• Significant experience in building services or MEP consultancy, ideally in the Australian built environment.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams, with a style that builds trust and accountability.
• Strong commercial and business development capability, with a track record of winning and delivering work.
• Relevant engineering qualifications and professional registration (CPEng or working towards).Clear communication and the judgement to balance client, quality and commercial outcomes.
