Job summary

Onset Group is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to guide a small, high-performing team in delivering scalable, customer-facing web experiences. You will own the technical direction, drive performance improvements, and shape architecture for a high-traffic platform.

The role balances hands-on engineering with leadership, mentoring, and strategic decision-making to enhance velocity and system quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams or hands-on engineering management.
• Strong expertise in React/Next.js and modern web architectures.
• Experience improving performance, latency, and Core Web Vitals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of 4–5 engineers.
• Own the technical direction of a high-traffic web platform.
• Improve performance, latency, SEO, and web vitals.
• Drive architecture decisions and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams.
• Manage technical debt and cross-team dependencies.
• Communicate risks and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
