Job summary

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is seeking an Engineering Surveyor to support planning, design and delivery of infrastructure works. You will perform investigation surveys, construction set-out, and Works as Executed surveys while advising project teams.

The role combines field and technical surveying across diverse projects, offering opportunities to contribute specialist expertise for community benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Surveying or related discipline or relevant experience.
• Experience using EDM, robotic survey equipment, total stations and GNSS.
• Experience using 12D and AutoCAD to prepare survey plans.
• Knowledge of survey infrastructure regulations and management.

Responsibilities

• Undertake investigation and engineering survey works for Council infrastructure projects.
• Investigate cadastral boundary information and transform survey data to geodetic network.
• Identify and verify above- and below-ground utility locations.
• Carry out construction set-out and Works as Executed surveys.
• Prepare survey plans and process data with specialist software.
• Provide specialist engineering survey advice to project teams.
• Coordinate external survey consultants when needed.
