Job summary

SEE Group is looking for an Engineering Surveyor to join the Urban Development team in the Caboolture and North Brisbane region. This full-time role focuses on delivering accurate survey data and set-outs for multiple concurrent projects.

You will import and manage surveying data, update models, and ensure software and equipment are up to date. The role requires a tertiary surveying qualification or equivalent, a current driver's license, and experience with 12D.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Surveying or Spatial Science is preferred.
  • Current driver's license is required.
  • Background in survey processes is essential.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with strong prioritization.
  • Strong numeric accuracy and analytical skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practical project delivery.
  • Experience using 12D software.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

  • Import data into the system for drafting final plans.
  • Update and maintain set-out data and models.
  • Convert digital data and models to GPS files.
  • Upload data into survey instruments and related equipment.
  • Monitor software versions and apply upgrades as needed.
  • Review plans on site for accuracy against specs.
  • Plan survey set-outs considering project continuity and machinery use.
  • Perform computer-based calculations before arriving on site.
  • Comply with SEE Group Integrated Management System policies.
  • Coach and develop staff within the department.

Job description

The Opportunity
SEE Group have a great career opportunity available for an Engineering Surveyor to join our highly professional and skilled Urban Development team. This is a full-time role based predominantly in the Caboolture & North Brisbane region. You’ll work closely with teams across project delivery to ensure timely and accurate project outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Import data into system for drafting of final plans.
  • Update and keep current set out and or models and data.
  • Convert digital data, and models to GPS file.
  • Accurately upload and maintain data in survey instruments and other plant and equipment.
  • Monitor and track that machines have current software, and load upgrades as required.
  • Review and assess plans for accuracy against markings and project specifications on site.
  • Plan and coordinate survey set out taking into consideration continuity of projects and utilisation of machinery and contractors.
  • Conduct all computer based / electronic calculations prior to arrival on site
  • Comply with SEE Group Integrated Management System policies and procedures.
  • Be positive and proactive in their approach to the coaching, mentoring and training of relevant staff and identify and develop staff within the department for the benefit of the organisation and to meet future growth and needs of the company.
Essential Skills and Attributes
  • Tertiary qualification – Surveying or Spatial Science (desirable)
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Background in Survey processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Demonstrated numeric accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with 12D.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
