Job summary

Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation Limited on the Gold Coast seeks an Engineering Safety and Training Specialist to lead safety training, drive competency assessments and maintain records across engineering operations.

Ideal candidates will have a TAE, WHS expertise, 3+ years in safety/training, strong communication, a valid C-class licence and the ability to obtain a Working at Heights qualification. A related mechanical trade or theme park experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Training & Assessment (TAE) and Workplace Health & Safety.
• At least 3 years' experience in a safety and training role, ideally within an engineering or maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safe work practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A current C Class driver's licence and the ability to obtain a Working at Heights qualification.

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering engaging technical and safety training programs.
• Coordinating competency assessments, refresher training and maintaining accurate training records.
• Supporting risk assessments, safety inspections, audits and safe work procedures.

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Safety & Training Specialist to join our Engineering team, helping to build capability, champion safe work practices and ensure our team has the skills and confidence to do what they do best.

What's the gig?

Reporting to the Operational Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in driving safety, training and compliance across our Engineering operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and delivering engaging technical and safety training programs.
