You will lead complex engineering and delivery programs within defence, guiding multidisciplinary teams and ensuring safe, high‑quality outcomes.

You will engage with Defence and industry stakeholders, applying project management and assurance principles in regulated environments while building trusted relationships and delivering

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering projects or complex delivery programs in Defence or high-assurance environments.
• Background in engineering or project management combined.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver results.
• Strong engagement with senior technical, operational and executive stakeholders.
• Judgement and problem solving in regulated settings.
• Clear communication translating technical info to practical outcomes.

Based in Canberra,AdelaideorSydney ,we are looking for Managers and Senior Managers to join our growingNuclearcapability. These roles will suit experienced engineering and project professionals who enjoy leading complex work, guiding teams and delivering outcomes in high-assurance environments.

You’llplay a key role supporting Australia’snaval nuclear capability, working with Defence and industry stakeholders to deliver technically complex projects where safety, assurance and disciplined execution are critical.

You willbe responsible for:

• Leading the delivery of complex engineering and project activities across high-profile Defence programs
• Managing multidisciplinary teams, supporting technicaldeliveryand ensuring project outcomes are achieved
• Providing oversight,directionand decision-making support in highly regulated, high-consequence environments
• Building trusted relationships with Defence,industryand technical stakeholders
• Applying engineering, projectmanagementand assurance principles to solve complex capability challenges

Our Ideal Candidate:

You’rean experienced engineering or project professional who thrives in complex environments. You bring the confidence to lead teams, managestakeholdersand make sound decisions while balancing technical, operational and delivery requirements.

You will bring:

• Experience leading engineering projects, complex delivery programs, or technical work packages within Defence, maritime, infrastructure or another high-assurance environment
• A background in engineering, project management, or a combination of both
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering outcomes against challenging requirements
• The ability to engage confidently with senior technical,operationaland executive stakeholders
• Strong judgement and problem-solving skills, with the ability tooperateeffectively in regulated environments
• Clear communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical information into practical outcomes

Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory):

• Experience supporting naval, submarine, maritime or other complex Defence capability programs
• Experience with engineering assurance, systems engineering, safetymanagementor complex asset delivery
• Nuclear experience or qualifications, including NSQEP credentials
• Exposure to nuclear capability, nuclear safety, assurance,governanceor regulatory environments

As we are a Defence consultancy, you must alsohave the ability toobtain andmaintainan AGSVA security clearance.
