Job summary

Coras in Canberra is seeking permanent, full-time Commercial Senior Consultants & Managers to join our Maritime Sustainment team. The roles cover procurement, contracting and contract management with hands-on delivery across the contract lifecycle.

We welcome a range of experience levels and offer hybrid working in a Defence consultancy setting. Ideal candidates will have Defence contracting exposure, an Australian Citizen status and the ability to obtain AGSVA security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, contracting and/or contract management roles.
• Experience with Defence contracting processes and ASDEFCON.
• Ability to deliver commercial outcomes and produce clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support clients through the contract lifecycle from sourcing to administration.

The Roles:

We have permanent, full-time opportunities at the Consultant and Senior Consultant levels for individuals with strong commercial capability across procurement, contracting and contract management to join our Canberra office. This is a hands‑on, service delivery role within our Maritime Sustainment segment, where you will support clients through practical commercial activities across the contract lifecycle, from sourcing and contract development through to contract administration and ongoing management.

We are open to a diversity of skill levels in this speciality, and while consulting experience would be great, we can help you develop those skills.

Our Ideal Candidate:

You have experience working in procurement, contracting and/or contract management roles and are comfortable contributing directly to commercial outcomes. You have experience with Defence contracting and procurement processes, including a working knowledge of theASDEFCONcontracting suite. Experience delivering services to clients such asNSSG,CASG, or other areas within Defence would be highly regarded — if this sounds like you,we’dwelcome a conversation.

As a Defence consultancy, we also need you to be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.

Required skills and attributes include:

• A hands on understanding of key Defence procurement, including the Procurement Policy Framework and Commonwealth Procurement Rules
• Ability to produce clear, accurate commercial documentation and advice
• High levelof emotional intelligence and humanistic
• Great listener, excellent communicator and dedicated
• A proventrack recordof delivering quality outcomes

Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory):

• Experience in delivering “Above the Line” consulting / contracting services to Defence and/or the broader Commonwealth
• Experience in providing ILS support / management
• Defence maritime orotherdomain sustainment or project experience
