Nutrien Ag Solutions Laverton North is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to lead engineering and project management for the Laverton manufacturing facility, delivering CAPEX projects and improvements that keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager – East Coast, you will own maintenance planning, manage contractors, drive continuous improvement, and ensure SAP, SOPs and training records are up to date.

Competenze

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar qualification.
• 5+ years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role in AU/NZ.
• Proven experience supervising a team.
• SAP experience and advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and a safety-first work ethic.
• Highly regarded: chemical manufacturing, fabrication/hot works, inventory management, forklift licence, EWP Yellow Card.

Mansioni

• Lead and deliver CAPEX and project initiatives, including installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis and troubleshoot technical issues, responding quickly and safely to equipment failures and emergencies.
• Support maintenance with regular inspections, preventive and reactive maintenance and servicing of plant equipment to reduce downtime.
• Champion continuous improvement across plant equipment, production efficiency, OEE, downtime and reliability.
• Manage engineering suppliers and contractors for project activities.
• Work with Site Management to align engineering with operational goals and assist audits.
• Take full ownership of the maintenance management system (SAP) and keep documents, SOPs, manuals and training records up to date.
• Ensure all engineering activities meet OH&S and hazardous substances requirements.
