Job summary

Monoova in Sydney is seeking an Engineering Manager to own the core payments platforms responsible for A2A, scheme, cards and digital assets. Lead a high-performance team, shape the technical roadmap with the CTO, and deliver secure, scalable payment solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years professional experience in software development and delivery.
• Experience with RESTful interfaces and object-oriented/service-oriented development techniques.
• Expert understanding of .NET technologies and C#.
• Experience with Azure cloud services supporting event-based architecture (Azure APIM, AKS, Service Bus, Key Vault, Azure SQL).
• Payments, banking, and financial industry experience.
• Experience with CI/CD environments/GitHub & ArgoCD.
• Hands-on design, development and deployment of payment software solutions.
• Exposure to AI-assisted and agentic software development approaches.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and operate the core payments platform technical strategies and roadmaps for Monoova's clients.
• Drive planning and refinement of seasonal goals aligned with company OKRs.
• Foster a culture of communication across teams and with leadership.
• Mentor engineers and deliver timely feedback for growth.
• Own and manage a high-performance team including hiring.
• Drive a high-performance, values-aligned culture within the Engineering team.
• Adhere to IT policies and procedures.
• Support a secure-by-design software posture.
• Assist with cost management.
• Complete required compliance training and ongoing quarterly goals with CTO.
