Job summary

PEXA in Melbourne is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multiple squads delivering essential property settlement services. You will guide teams, align engineering plans with product priorities, and ensure delivery remains secure, compliant and reliable.

You won't code daily, but you’ll stay close to technology, drive modernisation, and manage risks with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Design and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering squads across multiple teams.
• Strong ownership of delivery in a complex product environment.
• Technical background with software engineering, cloud or distributed systems knowledge.
• Ability to partner across Product, Design and Engineering and communicate risks.
• Experience using data and delivery insights to improve team performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering squads to deliver critical services.
• Translate business priorities into engineering plans with Product.
• Balance regulatory and delivery commitments with security and compliance.
• Improve system health, reduce technical debt and improve reliability.
