Job summary

Aussie Broadband is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of software engineers, delivering scalable, secure, customer-focused solutions across customer-facing apps and internal platforms.

You will provide technical leadership, ensure alignment with architecture standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices, while coaching engineers and driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial software solutions using modern frameworks and contemporary software engineering practices.
• Proven success leading and developing Software Engineers within a high-performing team environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
• Experience designing, building and integrating APIs and distributed services.
• A track record of delivering scalable, secure and maintainable software solutions in complex environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and automated deployment frameworks.
• Experience supporting or leading platform modernisation, transformation or replatforming initiatives.
• Experience leading and working with distributed or remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach software engineers to deliver scalable, secure software across customer-facing apps and internal platforms.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, testing and quality assurance and CI/CD practices.
• Partner with stakeholders across Technology to shape solutions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Identify automation opportunities to increase efficiency and value.
