Job summary

Lawrence Dry Cleaners seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance functions of our operations, ensuring reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement of plant and equipment.

You will manage the maintenance, repair and optimisation of industrial washing machines, dryers, dry-cleaning machines, boilers, steam systems, compressors, pumps, conveyors and other mechanical and automated laundry equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience managing engineering in laundry/manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Experience with mechanical systems, electrical controls, hydraulics and automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor engineering strategies and maintenance policies.
• Manage maintenance, repair and optimisation of laundry machinery and equipment.
• Plan preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
• Lead projects involving installation, commissioning, upgrades and replacements.
• Analyse equipment performance and implement solutions to improve productivity and energy efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, WHS, environmental requirements.
