Cover Genius is seeking an Engineering Manager for Developer Experience in Sydney. Hybrid work, leading a team that builds tools, platforms, and processes for developers to move fast with confidence and security.

You will gather requirements, track metrics, and improve the developer experience across security, infra, and application teams, owning internal tooling and a central catalog of services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering, platform engineering or devops experience including leadership.
• Delivery leadership and product partnership skills with measurable outcomes.
• Experience in building AI agentic systems to automate complex workflows.
• Strong CI/CD experience with Gitlab Pipelines, ArgoCD/Argo Workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing Developer Experience team through hiring and coaching.
• Act as product manager for internal developer tools and platforms.
• Design and maintain a shared set of tools, libraries, and CI/CD templates.
• Collaborate with Infra, Security and App teams to improve developer experience.
