Tallentire O'Flynn Movsowitz is seeking a technical leader to drive identity engineering across teams in Sydney. You will guide architecture, delivery of modern identity solutions, and maintain platform reliability while enabling new capabilities.

You will manage software teams in a fast-paced, agile environment, with a strong background in Java and IAM technologies, including OAuth2.0, OIDC, and SAML. Cloud-native, SaaS, and containerised environments are central to the role.

Working alongside the Director of Engineering, you will provide technical leadership across the Customer Identity engineering teams. You will collaborate with engineers to design and deliver modern identity solutions, foster engineering excellence, and ensure the platform continues to meet evolving business needs. You will also oversee platform reliability, performance, and the successful delivery of new capabilities.

Key responsibilities

Oversee engineering processes such as system design, development, CI/CD, production support, and continuous process improvement

Contribute to platform strategy and roadmaps

Cultivate an innovative culture that promotes lateral thinking and early risk identification

Adopt a collaborative approach to problem-solving

About you

Relevant experience managing software engineering teams in a fast paced, agile environment

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with proven success at delivering complex engineering initiatives

Technical background in software development (preferably Java based), with experience in software design and operating mission-critical services and platforms

Experience with IAM technologies such as identity providers, directory services, identity protocols (e.g., OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML), managing security access policies and tuning, monitoring IAM systems

Strong experience in cloud-based technologies and SaaS

Experience in containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Hands-on experience on identity management tooling such as Ping, Okta, EntraID, IBM Security Access Management (ISAM) and/or IBM Security Verify / Ping or Okta
