Job summary

IFF is seeking an engineering leader based in Melbourne (onsite) to lead the Engineering team and manage CAPEX and OPEX projects from planning to commissioning.

You will provide technical leadership, drive continuous improvement and asset optimization, and ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety, and regulatory obligations. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Procurement, Finance, and external partners to deliver sustainable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong project management and capital investment experience.
• Solid understanding of engineering standards, process safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Engineering team.
• Manage CAPEX and OPEX project portfolios from planning through commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership and support engineering decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and asset optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Lead risk assessments, Management of Change (MOC), and process safety activities.
• Develop site engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Procurement, Finance, and external partners to deliver sustainable business results.
