Job summary

University of New South Wales in Kensington, NSW, seeks a Project Officer (Community Engagement) Identified to support the Faculty of Engineering’s Student Equity team and strengthen Indigenous engagement initiatives. The role focuses on removing barriers to access for underrepresented cohorts and building meaningful partnerships with Indigenous communities.

Qualifications

• Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship required.
• Indigenous Identified position; applicants must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
• Desirable knowledge of NSW school curriculum and links to STEM subjects.
• Experience in Indigenous community engagement is highly desirable.
• Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of community engagement initiatives targeting underrepresented cohorts.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and reporting.
• Coordinate workshops and meetings; manage actions and status reporting.
• Develop and manage communications with key stakeholders (internal and external).
• Support program implementation under supervision of senior program staff.
