About the role
- Support the planning and delivery of essential water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment, storage and reticulation assets.
- Provide engineering advice and contribute to decision‑making on a range of complex infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Work closely with the Senior Engineer – Capital Works, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.

We are seeking
- A qualified Civil Engineer with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or a related discipline) and eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia, or equivalent technical experience and expertise.
- Experience in civil engineering activities, including the design, construction, operation and maintenance of infrastructure assets.
- Knowledge of project and contract management, with the ability to contribute to the delivery of engineering projects.
- An understanding of local government engineering infrastructure and infrastructure asset management principles.
- Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders and manage challenging situations.

Where it's located
This position is based in Tweed Heads and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
