Firmus Technologies in Sydney, NSW, Australia is seeking a Community Engagement Advisor to support planning, implementation and reporting of community engagement across its Australian development portfolio, building a credible model and providing insights for approvals, delivery and social licence.

The role reports to the Head of Community Engagement, offers permanent full-time with hybrid work (4 days in the office, 1 day from home), and requires 3-5 years in engagement, strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, communications or corporate affairs.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver community engagement and communication materials for diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience building effective relationships across internal and external groups.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear messaging in plain English.
• Strong organisational, administrative and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• A collaborative, adaptable and solution-focused approach, supported by strong interpersonal skills and Firmus’ values.
• IAP2 accreditation is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Support the delivery of community and stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and project commitments.
• Manage community enquiries and complaints, supporting timely resolution, continuous process improvement and a positive community and stakeholder experience.
• Identify engagement risks and opportunities, providing insights that support project outcomes and community expectations.
• Coordinate community consultation activities, forums, meetings, communications and engagement initiatives across development, construction and operational phases.
• Assist with the delivery of community engagement campaigns, project notifications and communications that keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
• Represent community interests by collaborating with internal teams and contributing to decisions that affect local communities.
• Champion best-practice engagement across the project development lifecycle.
• Contribute to a collaborative, agile team environment, supporting ad hoc projects and activities as required.
