Job summary

Hudson is partnering with a Federal Government department to recruit an APS6 Communications & Engagement Officer to support a national energy efficiency program.

The role focuses on diverse communications, digital content, and stakeholder engagement, with flexible/remote arrangements and a short-term contract with potential extension. You’ll deliver impactful content across channels and collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A strong background in communications, digital content or stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for different audiences.
• Experience managing website content and working across digital communication channels.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Confidence building relationships and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders.
• A proactive, creative and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging communications across websites, social media, articles and digital channels.
• Manage and publish website content, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and user-friendly.
• Coordinate content calendars and identify opportunities to improve digital engagement, including YouTube.
• Support stakeholder engagement activities and communications projects across the program.
• Contribute to user experience improvements for an online energy efficiency calculator.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality communications.
• Manage competing priorities, respond to emerging requests and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
