Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is expanding its Energy Trading team in Sydney and seeks an Operations Analyst to own trade lifecycle elements from capture to settlement. You will reconcile cash, transactions and positions daily, resolving breaks quickly and accurately while supporting energy futures, options and OTC products.

Based near Traders and risk teams, you’ll interact with Prime Brokers and clearing houses, driving issue resolution and process improvements.

Qualifications

5+ years' experience in Operations or Middle Office within a trading environment.
Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and support for listed and OTC derivatives.
Knowledge of commodities (futures, options) and energy markets is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Own key elements of the trade lifecycle from capture to settlement.
Perform daily cash, transaction and position reconciliations, investigate breaks.
Support energy trading products across Energy Trading business (listed/OTC).
Act as focal point for operational issues; drive resolution with stakeholders.
Collaborate with Prime Brokers, Clearing Houses and external counterparties.
Work with Traders, Risk, Treasury, Finance, Technology and COO on ops initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase automation.
Help build operational processes to support future product scope in energy.
