Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) in Sydney seeks an experienced professional to join its Production Trading Services team, overseeing live trading environments and ensuring controls and resilience. You will monitor order flows, trading limits and incidents, coordinate across Trading, Technology, Compliance and Operations, and work with global teams for follow-the-sun coverage.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years' experience in a live electronic trading environment.
• Strong equities knowledge and experience supporting electronic equity trading.
• Understanding of order and trade flows and trading controls.
• Experience managing or monitoring trading limits and controls.
• Technical understanding of FIX protocols and low-latency systems.
• Experience coordinating across multiple teams during incidents.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ownership mindset with accountability and initiative.
• Degree in a quantitative or technical discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver proactive production trading services across the live trading environment.
• Monitor order and trade flows, trading limits and controls.
• Provide oversight of trading limits across relevant markets.
• Identify emerging production issues and assess trading impact.
• Represent trading during incidents and ensure escalation where needed.
• Coordinate responses across Trading, Technology, Compliance and Ops.
• Support management of session access and trading-limit adherence.
• Develop understanding of QRT's electronic trading platform and processes.
• Build relationships across the business as a link between trading and support teams.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve processes.
• Strengthen governance frameworks for production trading.
• Drive improvements reducing trading risk and improving resilience.
• Contribute to monitoring, automation and scalability initiatives.
• Collaborate globally for follow-the-sun coverage.
