Job summary

Enemix, a leading independent advisory firm in Sydney, is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its Energy M&A practice. You will run workstreams, manage client relationships, and collaborate with senior advisers on live mandates from day one.

The role focuses on execution of sell-side and buy-side mandates across renewable energy platforms and infrastructure, with modelling, materials prep, due diligence, and direct client engagement.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years in investment banking or financial advisory with energy/infrastructure/M&A exposure.
• Strong financial modelling from scratch and ability to articulate your approach under pressure.
• Genuine interest in the Australian energy transition and sector specialization.
• Experience in end-to-end sell-side or buy-side M&A processes.

Responsibilities

• Execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory mandates across renewable energy platforms, developers, and infrastructure assets.
• Financial modelling and valuation across DCF, SOTP, and precedent transactions frameworks.
• Preparation of transaction materials including teasers, information memoranda, and management presentations.
• Management of due diligence processes, VDR administration, and coordination of external advisers.
• Bid analysis, process management, and counterparty engagement across competitive sale processes.
• Direct client engagement with developers, infrastructure funds, and institutional investors active in the Australian energy transition.
