Job summary

AGL Energy is seeking a Compliance Specialist to support the delivery of our compliance management program. You will assist in monitoring, reporting, assurance activities and continuous improvement across teams, ensuring strong governance and quality information.

You will develop obligations registers, support audits and coordinate remediation, while identifying emerging regulatory issues and opportunities to enhance compliance practices within a highly regulated energy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, governance, risk, assurance or a regulatory environment.
• Understanding of obligations, controls, monitoring and governance processes.
• Experience maintaining compliance plans, obligations registers or governance documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and high-quality records.
• Effective stakeholder engagement, communication and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting audits or regulatory reviews is highly regarded.
• Experience in energy, utilities or highly regulated environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain obligations registers, compliance plans, controls and governance documentation.
• Help operational teams understand and implement their compliance requirements.
• Coordinate monitoring, assurance and evidence-collection activities.
• Track compliance actions and remediation through to completion.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and materials for governance forums.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews and responses to findings.
• Identify emerging issues and opportunities to improve compliance practices.
