Job summary

AGL Energy is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to support the Risk & Assurance team. You will help maintain risk management processes, perform risk assessments, and assist with control testing and reporting.

This is an early‑career opportunity designed for detail‑oriented individuals who want to learn compliance, risk management and internal auditing. You’ll be mentored by experienced professionals while gaining practical skills and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
• Analytical mindset and willingness to learn how to interpret risk trends and recommend effective controls.
• Interest in understanding business processes and to visualise process flows and anticipate downstream impacts.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and able to communicate clearly in writing.
• Eagerness to learn about systems and data tools (SAP & Excel/BI experience is a bonus, but not essential).
• A proactive self-starter, with an adaptable approach to work and ready to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of policies, procedures, and process documentation within Risk & Assurance.
• Assist with risk assessments, identifying and documenting operational and compliance risks.
• Support control testing and assurance activities, including report writing and sample reviews.
• Keep risk, obligations, and control registers accurate and up to date.
• Track action items and treatment plans to help ensure timely completion.
• Prepare reports and basic analysis to support decision‑making.
• Help Coordinate risk workshops, forums, and training sessions.
• Provide general administrative support, including meeting coordination and document preparation.
