Job summary

KordaMentha in Brisbane is seeking an Analyst to join our Energy Advisory team and work with energy consumers, providers, infrastructure owners, government and regulators on practical engagements across Australia’s changing energy market.

You will build advisory skills through research, analysis, and client deliverables, using Excel and PowerPoint, with opportunities to advance as you gain experience in one or more energy domains.

Qualifications

• About 1 year of relevant experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, consulting, advisory, government or related environment.
• Developing understanding of one or more energy sectors (generation, networks, retail, gas or water).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to break down information and identify issues.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to contribute to team discussions and client deliverables.
• Competency in Excel and PowerPoint; willing to continue developing these skills.

Responsibilities

• Support client engagements through research, analysis, problem solving and high-quality reports.
• Apply quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve complex problems for clients.
• Research energy industry trends, market reform and emerging practice.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to practical outcomes.
• Use tools including AI to improve quality and efficiency; review outputs for accuracy.
• Support business development, proposals, marketing activities and industry engagement.
