Australian Energy Regulator (AER) seeks an Analyst to support regulatory analyses, data interpretation and stakeholder engagement. The role reports to an Assistant Director and involves working with distributed teams to deliver timely insights that support the energy market’s transition.

Key duties include data collection, applying legislation, and presenting findings to diverse audiences while maintaining APS Values and AER behaviours. A strong analytical mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform objective and systematic analysis using data tools to interpret data and communicate findings.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders; ability to present complex information clearly.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, procedures and guidance material with initiative.
• Demonstrated integrity and accountability in line with APS Values and AER behaviours.

Responsabilités

• Work across DMO teams to deliver timely, high-quality regulatory analysis.
• Collect and analyse energy market data to develop insights and support regulatory processes.
• Communicate complex information clearly and tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
