Job summary

Royal Automobile Club of Queensland (RACQ) is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processes across fortnightly and monthly cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You’ll provide guidance on payroll legislation and collaborate with Finance and HR to deliver a seamless employee experience.

The role requires a minimum certificate in Business/Finance/Payroll and 5+ years’ payroll experience; Chris21 experience is highly desirable, with strong Excel and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Minimum certificate level qualification in Business, Finance, Payroll or a related field.
• 5+ years’ payroll experience.
• Experience with end-to-end payroll processing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate end-to-end fortnightly and monthly payrolls and resolve complex payroll issues.
• Provide high-level payroll support and maintain confidentiality.
• Liaise with Finance, HR and external regulatory bodies (ATO, Centrelink, ABS).
• Interpret/apply Enterprise Agreements, contracts, policies and legislation for entitlements and deductions.
• Support audits, reporting and compliance activities; assist year-end tasks.
• Contribute to payroll projects and maintain safety/compliance standards.
