Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a Payroll & HR Administration Officer to join our established Australian manufacturing business in Melbourne. This hands-on role combines end-to-end payroll with HR administration and HRIS responsibilities, offering a path to broaden People & Culture capability.

You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, HRIS data integrity, and payroll compliance while supporting the employee lifecycle and remuneration reviews.

Qualifications

• Approx 3 years' experience in payroll, ideally multi‑state Australia.
• Strong experience with HRIS/payroll systems; Kronos is highly regarded.
• Good understanding of Australian payroll legislation, payroll tax, superannuation, WorkCover.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end fortnightly Australian payroll.
• Manage timesheets, payroll adjustments, deductions, bonuses and remuneration changes.
• Handle payroll tax, superannuation, WorkCover and STP requirements.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and payroll reporting.
• Administer salary packaging and novated leases.
• Respond to employee payroll queries and resolve issues.
• Support annual remuneration reviews and payroll compliance.
• Interpret awards and ensure Fair Work compliance.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
• Assist onboarding, offboarding, contracts and variations.
• Support HRIS administration and process improvements.
• Collaborate with People & Culture and Finance to ensure data accuracy.
