Job summary

Australian Mentoring Services (AMS) is seeking Permanent Part-Time Mentors in the Sutherland Shire, South West Sydney, and Parramatta to empower participants through daily living skills, social activities, and pathways to education and employment.

You will work as a social role model, providing personalised support and respecting self-determination in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mental Health, Disability, Youth Work, or related field.
• Must have NSW Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialised support to participants with Autism, ABI, mental health conditions, and complex behaviours.
• Assist participants in building daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, meal planning, budgeting).
• Implement Individual Support Plans and Behaviour Support Plans tailored to needs.
• Engage in social and recreational activities to develop relationships and social networks.
• Flexibility to work within a 24/7 rotating roster, including overnight shifts and weekends.
