Job summary

Riverside is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help customers in Cambridge Youth Foyer and surrounding properties. You will provide structured support, connect clients with employability coaches and other agencies, manage budgeting and benefits, and assist with tenancy readiness while maintaining accurate records and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable people.
• Experience of delivering structured support and risk management.
• Be a team player with a caring, empathetic nature with a resilient, can-do attitude.
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people – lived experience of homelessness or drug/alcohol addiction.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer and business needs, including lone working.

Responsibilities

• Support customers and provide move-on plans.
• Organise and carry out regular reviews of support and risk plans.
• Engage customers to meet outcomes and develop life skills.
• Assist with day-to-day support and tenancy-related matters.
• Identify opportunities for employment, education and training and remove barriers to access.
• Signpost customers to external support services and resources.
• Support customers to be tenancy ready and financially independent.
