Job summary

Endeavour Foundation in Mackay is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our permanent roster of SIL homes. You will assist people to live as independently as possible, supporting daily living tasks, personal care, budgeting and community access.

Open availability for sleepovers and varied shifts is essential. In this role you’ll contribute to goal achievement, help maintain connections with family and services, and work in a calm, compassionate environment committed to inclusion

Qualifications

Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
Open availability for permanent roster including sleepovers and varied shifts.
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR, National Criminal History Check, and a valid Driver's Licence with comprehensive insurance.

Responsibilities

Help people achieve NDIS goals by developing daily living skills (housekeeping, personal care, budgeting).
Assist with personal care to meet individual needs and support daily living tasks.
Support meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and community outings.
Provide support during daily activities such as walks, movies, appointments, and maintaining family connections.
