Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Demonstrated alignment with Department values and commitment to ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related and organisational duties.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
