Job summary

UnitingSA is seeking an Employment Support Worker to mentor and instruct participants with disability in gardening, cleaning, and maintenance tasks. This fixed role offers part-time permanency and casual opportunities, with a strong focus on safety, practical support, and empowerment in a collaborative team.

You will provide one-on-one and small group instruction, ensuring tasks are performed to a high standard and within inclusive workplace practices.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Community Services or relevant experience.
• Current Driver’s Licence (essential).
• Senior First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
• DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential).
• Working with Children Check (essential).
• Experience working with people with disability or in practical/hands-on roles (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support employees to complete gardening, cleaning and maintenance tasks.

• Prepare and set up equipment and materials for daily work.
• Ensure safety procedures and workplace policies are followed.

About the Role

As an Employment Support Worker, you will provide instruction and mentor employees with disability while they complete gardening, cleaning, and maintenance tasks. This is a hands-on, team-based role where you will provide clear instructions, practical assistance, supervision, and encouragement to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You will work closely with a supportive team and provide one-on-one and small group instructions and assistance in an inclusive environment, to empower individuals and celebrate their achievements.

Key Responsibilities

You are patient, reliable and passionate about supporting NDIS participants of all abilities to achieve their employment goals, while also being able to provide clear instructions and directions for completing daily tasks.

You will have:
