AKG Group Australia is seeking an Employment Consultant to lead, coach and support participants to find employment within inclusive programs. You will work with Aboriginal Elders, employers and community organisations to create opportunities.

This role offers meaningful community impact, a collaborative culture and regular training. You will build partnerships with local employers and training providers, tailoring job plans and providing high levels of customer service.

The Employment Consultant Inclusive Employment Australia is responsible for leading, coaching and supporting participants to find employment.

This is a role where you can make a real difference in your own community.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting and understanding the clients' barriers and work to develop employment goals
• Creating and sourcing employment opportunities
• Supporting and helping clients identify their skills, abilities, and secure sustainable employment
• Providing and delivering a high level of customer service to our clients, employers, and stakeholders
• Creating, tailoring, and implementing a partnered job plan
• Building sustainable and long-lasting relationships with local employers, registered training organisations and community organisations
• Explaining to employers the benefits and supports in hiring someone with a barrier/disability

• Someone who can overcome objections and break down employment barriers
• Ability to deliver efficient and effective strategies to positively engage with employers
• Awareness of vulnerabilities and the positive effects of employment
• Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Well-developed problem-solving skills

To be considered:

• Have full working rights in Australia
• Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
• Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
• Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
• Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
